Posts: 4 Sep 13 07 9:21 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None I just traded a brand new Copley CA-7e w/ a solid cedar top, and solid mohogany b&s for a Blueridge BR-OS. I have zero remorse. The BR-OS has superior tone quality than that of the Copley. I have seen reviews on the BR-OS that were lower than I expected though. Also, I have read that the BR-OS has a Spruce top with Indian Rosewood b&s. Were there any solid wood b&s of the BR-OS made? If so, I think I have one. The grain on the inside follows the grain on the outside. Is there any way to check the serial number, or is this just wishful thinking? Thank you for your help. I am very happy with the tone quality. It actually rivals my solid wood Taylor 210e. I am impressed.

You can try contacting Saga and see if they can give you the specs on that model. It is my understanding that the "S" in the model designation (BR 0S) indicates a solid top only. FWIW, I have had at least one guitar (a Tacoma) with laminated B/S, that had the inside laminate matching the outside grain almost exactly, so I'm not sure that is really a good way to determine construction. I did email Saga a few questions regarding the BR-OS,....still waiting for their response.....I have read about the changes that took place in 2000, but after I played the older Blueridge side by side with my "top of the line" Copley CA-7e, it was no contest. The Blueridge blew the doors off. This is why when I read a couple reviews that had a different opinions, I thought that they must have played a different guitar. For instance, My Taylor 210e is a solid wood 2006 model. However in 2007, this changed. They still call it a 210e, but it now has Indian Rosewood laminate b&s and a solid Spruce top. Not the same guitar as the 06, but still a 210e. Anywho, thanks again for your help.

Great high and mid tones, and a booming bass. Though the guitar I traded was a solid wood box, it did not produce the tone quality like the Blueridge. Thanks for your info.

BR-OS, has a really nice unique tone. the serial number is 06151292. i can't find out much either. would like to know what year it is anyway. it was given to me with no machine heads on it, and i put a set of grovers on. its definitely darker or more woody sounding than taylors i've had.

I have an identical BR-OS (compared to pics in post #5, not post #6). I bought it new in 1995 at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto just off-campus from Stanford. I was told at the time it was solid spruce top and laminated B&S. If I recall correctly it was $299. It still has a sticker on the back of the headstock that says "Made in Taiwan". I'm a hack but I do love it to death. Hope you like yours!
