I dont know why, but someone really filed down the nut (very low) on my Stanford PSD-21 (originally). Maybe it was a way of trying to compensate for the low
neck angle? The cut out slot on my high E string is very minimal. The top of the string is about level with the top of the nut. My high E string has very
little clearance of the first fret and cant be raised 
. I really need a
higher nut. Anyone replaced theirs. Any good resources for doing it? What is there to removing the old nut? I do have some files but certainly am no expert on
this. Maybe I should get an estimate to have it replaced by someone. I had hoped to redo some of the nut slots originally but there isn't much I can do if
the overall nut height is too low, right??

yet. When I do I will bring it up again. The guitar is playable for now and still kicking butt tonally.......
