Interesting. Someone made a Youtube comment under the video and said that they're a "Martin ripoff" and don't even come close. LOL.

For some Martin fans. if it isn't a Martin it barely qualifies as a guitar.
So many guitars....So little time.
So many taxes......So few guitars

Pappy wrote: Haha. Funny you said that Pappy. If you play the Youtube video (link) thru to the end you can hear that BR-143. It sounds fantastic to my ears . If I was an OM player I'd sure consider getting 1.

Man, that sounds pretty good to me! I must say that I like the sound of the Martin 000-15 that he also plays, equally as well, if not a tad better.

I attempted 2 different times to reply to that "Martin ripoff "comment and it wouldn't post. I really don't understand Youtube sometimes.
Well then again, maybe they disabled commenting after his comment was made but it doesn't say so. Weird!

There are only 2 ears that I care about and they are both attached to my head. I thought the 143 sounded really nice. I'm sure the Martin would sound nice
as well, but it wouldn't have been in the $500 to $1000 catagory. I can't rationalize spending a lot more money for a little better sound (if any at
all) especially at my skill level. Guitars are like cars, boats houses etc... Some people just want to justify their purchases by ragging on others.

But yeah, the whole close-mindedness of some Martin junkies is insane. I mean, yeah it's a great sound, but there are plenty of guitars out there that sound great too.
