Im sure someone would know.. the recording king 227 or the stanford psd28 model.. I believe he might gypsyjazz would have a second 28 model or scratched
second.. if anyone has played both which would sounded better? sorry to ask questions again and again guys lol.

David, Like DMCowles said, he had a RD-227 awhile back and sold it. He made mention of potentially selling his HD-28 a few times here on this forum already after getting the PSD-28 less than a year ago. I myself compared a HD-28 to my PSD-28 and found the Stanford to hold up very well soundwise. IMO the next best thing to getting 1 at a fraction of the price.

I believe that Dave said he will be visiting Steve at Gypsy Jazz Guitars in person on his trip, and will probably check out the Stanford collection there.
Perhaps he can let you know what Steve still has in stock, etc.

Steve, has anyone ever tried to play Bluegrass music with a Gypsyjazz guitar? I've heard acoustic surf played on one and it sounded fantastic.

You can play bluegrass best on an acoustic archtop. The gypsy guitars are perhaps a bit dry, I'd go with a 300 series Gitane for that.
