Pappy and all, thanks for the nice comments. One thing I really like about Music Link is the owners' willingness to let us listen to you guys and have the guitars fit what the consumer is looking for. For example, getting the right scale lengths with the right body style, seeking out the right pickguard material, bridges, bracing requirements, etc to complement each certain style of guitar, all help to contribute to what makes the NEW Recording Kings something different. Oh-Oh! Do I need to hold up on another Eastman purchase and check out the new "Wankerized" RK line ?

We really do live in the golden age of guitars. It is amazing how far import guitars have come in such a relatively short time.

It is also obvious that only the best are going to survive, so if you ain't movin' forward you're falling behind!

Pappy Your going to love the new stuff that's coming out this year , these new RK's are at a whole different level than anything the market has seen when it comes to import guitars.

Will that material be available in a traditional shape also? You're not going to put that shape on the traditional Martin styled Recording Kings, are you?

What kydave said. Ordering a $400 RD227 from Daddy's is akin to buying a very pricey lotto ticket, IMHO. Those will all have been returns to TML, with repairs made and then sold as 2nds.

The end of the gummy plastic type pickguard is in sight ! That's right boys , girls & wankers we just recieved our new samples. Firestripe with beveled edges Black with beveled edges I'll post photos on monday .....
